Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
July 21, 2003

The Board of Directors of the Beaumont Chapter met at the Jefferson County Courthouse after the first chapter business meeting on 22 July 2003.

Unfinished Business
The board met to review the progress of the Crew Chief Process committee. It was resolved that the process of selecting and approving a crew chief was a responsibility of the board of directors and that it should be formalized. Discussion points compiled by Mike Defee were reviewed. The committee will continue the work of developing a formal process for recommendation to the board. No proposed amendments will be put forth at the second business meeting. The committee goal is to have a recommendation in place by the business meetings at the end of the season.

The Secretary reminded the board members that the pickings were only two weekends away, and that preparations and assignments for the pickings should be finalized soon.

The next board of directors meeting date will be set by President Downey.
